TASCAM ML-4D/OUT-X
Brian Long
Introduction
The TASCAM ML-4D/OUT-X is a compact four-channel Dante-to-analog converter with balanced XLR outputs and an integrated DSP mixer. It converts Dante network audio into professional line-level signals for connection to amplifiers, powered loudspeakers, mixers, processors, recorders, and other analog equipment, providing a practical bridge between networked and conventional audio systems.
Designed for professional AV, broadcast, live production, education, houses of worship, theaters, conference facilities, and distributed audio systems, the ML-4D/OUT-X combines four-channel Dante input and output with flexible matrix mixing and dedicated output processing. EQ, filtering, delay, limiting, ducking, ambient noise compensation, scene storage, PoE, AES67 compatibility, and software-based control provide the tools needed for both straightforward Dante conversion and more sophisticated multi-zone applications.
