TASCAM MM-4D/IN-X
Brian Long
Introduction
The TASCAM MM-4D/IN-X is a compact four-channel mic/line-to-Dante converter with professional balanced XLR inputs and an integrated DSP mixer. Four analog microphone or line-level sources can be converted to Dante network audio, while remotely controllable microphone preamps and +48V phantom power provide the flexibility needed for professional microphones, mixers, wireless systems, and other analog sources.
Designed for networked AV, broadcast, live production, education, houses of worship, conference facilities, theaters, and other professional audio environments, the MM-4D/IN-X combines four analog inputs with four-channel Dante input and output, flexible matrix routing, input processing, ducking, ambient noise compensation, scene storage, PoE, AES67 compatibility, and software-based control. Its compact half-rack chassis and XLR connectivity make it particularly useful where equipment must be connected, disconnected, or reconfigured without permanent terminal-block wiring.
