Introduction
The TASCAM MM-2D-X is a compact mic/line and Dante converter with an integrated DSP mixer, designed to connect professional analog audio equipment directly to Dante network audio systems. Two balanced XLR mic/line inputs with remotely controllable microphone preamps and +48V phantom power provide high-quality analog input, while two balanced XLR line outputs connect the Dante network to amplifiers, powered loudspeakers, processors, recorders, and other professional audio equipment.
In addition to its two analog inputs and outputs, the MM-2D-X provides four-channel Dante input and output, flexible matrix routing, input and output DSP, ducking, ambient noise compensation, scene storage, AES67 compatibility, PoE operation, and software-based remote control. Its compact half-rack design and XLR connectivity make it particularly useful for live production, broadcast, recording, education, houses of worship, presentation systems, and professional AV installations where equipment may need to be connected or reconfigured without rewiring permanent Euroblock terminations.
