Introduction

The TASCAM AK-BT2 is a compact Bluetooth adapter designed to add wireless capabilities to compatible TASCAM products. Installed directly into a supported recorder’s dedicated Bluetooth adapter connector, it expands the host device without requiring a separate external receiver, cable, or battery-powered accessory.

Available functions depend on the connected TASCAM product. On supported recorders, the AK-BT2 can enable wireless remote operation from a smartphone or tablet, wireless timecode synchronization with compatible production equipment, and Bluetooth audio monitoring through compatible wireless headphones or speakers. This makes the AK-BT2 a valuable accessory for location sound, filmmaking, video production, interviews, and other workflows where remote access and reduced cabling can simplify operation.
