The IC-SW-8T2 in-ceiling subwoofer is engineered for music reinforcement applications and uses a transformer-less design for 70V/100V distributed-line systems with two wattage settings, avoiding the output limitations that transformers impose on typical distributed-line subwoofers. It uses an 8" woofer and 8" drone, both with polypropylene cones and high-temperature voice coils, in a bandpass enclosure that utilizes a passive radiator instead of a port to reduce distortion and turbulence. The speaker can switch between low-impedance and high-impedance distributed-line applications, and supports mono and two-channel inputs in low-impedance modes. It has an ABS plastic baffle, a formed steel back can, and a four-point terminal strip input connector, and ships with a tile bridge for suspended-ceiling installation; a mud ring kit is available separately for drywall ceilings.
